Our Role in the Carbon Credit Market

Red Rock Enterprises is actively involved in the carbon credit market. As a sub-aggregator working under the National Carbon Offset Coalition(NCOC), our company can help large and small landowners get in on the ground floor of this up and coming opportunity.

Landowners can financially benefit from their forest lands by obtaining carbon credits based on the quantity of their holdings. These credits are then traded on the Chicago Climate Exchange(CCX), and will be primarily used as a currency in the cap and trade system.

Within the cap and trade system, these credits offer companies, countries, and individuals an opportunity to balance their carbon dioxide output by purchasing carbon credits . Although still voluntary, the cap and trade system is predicted to soon become mandatory. Also, energy use and emission levels are predicted to keep rising over time, and the number of companies needing to buy these credits will increase.

Team Terresense is a partnership of four companies working together to provide forest carbon sequestration services to forest managers and independent land owners.
